Accessibility Routing

Mapsted’s indoor positioning system fully supports accessibility routing. Because our technology doesn’t rely on the use of beacons, Wi-Fi, or additional external hardware, it dependably works anywhere, without interruption. This gives property managers the ability to:

• Meet the navigation needs of all of their visitors or tenants
• Provide inclusive, barrier-free access to their facilities
• Improve safety and security, especially in emergency situations

Colour and Display Adjustments

Mapsted’s colour and display adjustments include options for both high and dark contrast, to ensure on-screen information is easily accessible to everyone.

Alerts

Timely, relevant alerts that communicate information to the user about the location of the next environmental feature on their route. For example, “The down escalator is on your left.”

Orientation Information

Providing detailed orientation information lets users know their current location in relation to their surroundings. For example, “You are approaching the elevators.” Orientation information always includes reference to features in the physical environment and along the route.
