Our Story
Mapsted was born from a moment of necessity. While studying Electrical and Computer Engineering, founder Paramvir Nagpal grew frustrated with getting lost on campus. He engineered a smartphone navigation app to help students locate classes and arrive at exams on time. Realizing the global potential of this technology, he and co-founder Saeeheh Hamidifar launched Mapsted in 2014.
Today, the company has evolved into a world-class team of visionaries and elite engineers united by a passion for disruptive innovation. Through a relentless focus on research and development, Mapsted continues to redefine the future of indoor location platforms and set new industry standards.

Mapsted is established by Paramvir Nagpal and Saeedeh Hamidifar in Canada.
R&D & PATENT PORTFOLIO BUILDING
The team focuses on securing intellectual property, filing dozens of patents related to sensor fusion, multi-ray casting, and data compression to create a "hardware-free" ecosystem.
PANDEMIC INNOVATION
As the pandemic unfolded, Mapsted adapted technology to help clients safely reopen. The team developed contact tracing capabilities and real-time alerts when capacities reached allowed pandemic limits.
GLOBAL EXPANSION & PARTNERSHIPS
Scaling: Mapsted secures high-profile partnerships with major global entities (including deployments for retail giants and large-scale venues).
